This piece was inspired by the two-dimensional style of traditional Indian Art, and my travels to nature reserves in the south-western region of India, where I spent a year working as Designer/ Artist.. Set in a unique landscape, the backdrop of this piece is an amalgamation of the mountainous, forest, and desert regions I visited across the diverse landscapes of India, taking a semi-abstract approach to depicting my recollections in the forms of lines, vibrant colours, and textures I experienced. The vivid hues of the awe evoking equatorial sunsets of the region envelope a resting 'Melanistic Leopard'/ Jaguar, who's tales I heard first hand from locals around the National Parks of Karnataka.
